They say a paper crane appears in the sky...

Writer's picture: Gabi ChunGabi Chun

Inevitability, the life of a performing arts is filled with heartbreak, rejection, and perseverance. Every time I receive a rejection, I write my worries on a piece of paper, fold it into a paper crane (origami), and let my paper crane and worries fly away. There is a belief, that if you fold 1,000 paper cranes, the Heavens will recognize your determination and grant your wish.

I'm happy to share this personal story of mine, along with the Molloy/CAP21 Class of 2020, has been written into an original musical directed by Jillian Carucci and Rob Baumgartner. Come see the paper crane performing at the CAP21 Studios (50 Broadway New York, New York 10004) from December 14-15, 2019.
